We've all seen his cooking show on t.v., along have eaten at his Sam Choy's BLC in Honolulu and his new restaurant in Keauhou-Kona called Sam Choy's Kai Lanai rocks!!!
His newest fixture sits overlooking Keauhou Bay and resorts down below. The perfect place for sunset dinner. Trust me it is a million dollar view of anywhere I have seen! And I've known this view since I've been living on the Big Island. This location was formerly a Wendy's Drive Inn which closed and this place was vacant for the longest time. For a fast food place it had the best fricken (Excuse me for that, but that how beautiful of a view it is) view in all of Kona besides being on the mountain slopes.
Sam Choy's Kai Lanai has outdoor seating to take in the view, very spacious & a nice looking bar.
If you love seafood these are 2 starters on the app menu that's a must.

This all comes with your meal. The dressing on the salad was phenomenal, the soup was a chicken vegetable soup & the bread they serve is a coconut bread. All was pretty good and the dinner entree didn't arrive yet.
My choice for dinner was the Seafood Lau Lau. Shrimp, Butterfish, Scallops, the works with spinich & some other veggies.
Seafood Linguine, Mahi Mahi seasoned with some lap cheong.
A wine from Argentina. Diseno Malbec which has some hints of coffee and has a blueberry & chocolate flavor to it.
And you know on EhBrahCheckDisOut.com it ain't complete without dessert..I was disappointed that they ran out of the Bread Pudding but there is always next time.

EhBrahCheckDisOut.com so far has been 3 for 3 on great places to check out on the Big Island. This place like I said rocks, the food and atmosphere was excellent.
